Being the Darphin Global Packaging Manager is an unique opportunity to integrate and contribute to Darphin’s expansion.
In this role, you will have to manage the timely development of high quality, innovate packages based on Marketing objectives, manufacturability, and customer requirements.
ROLE IN DETAILS:
Participate in brainstorming exchange and presentation of new ideas/concepts with and to Marketing and Design on a global basis.
React to Marketing work requests by providing a project feasibility: function, manufacturability, component cost, tooling estimates, timetable, risks, and global consistency.
Support and summarize with critical issues and action-plan the Design review process meeting with Marketing, Marketing Services, Design, Packaging, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Technical Packaging, and Quality Assurance.
Develop preliminary outlines (identifying development responsibility for international projects).
Submission of all packages to Package Testing with the required samples and technical information.
Request preliminary costs and compare to feasibility.
Enter specifications and distribute.
Initiate and supervise artwork requests, proofreading, distribution, and support the initiation of electronic artwork.
Selection of sourcing with Purchasing, insuring the proper quality and economic benefits using Supply Base Management Guidelines.
Develop the package utilizing the technical support groups (Technical Packaging, Package Testing, and Manufacturing Engineering) to achieve the intended design, quality, cost objectives, functionality, and manufacturability.
Review and sign all blueprints (in conjunction with Technical Packaging) and develop the package specification.
Establish component and color standards and insure proper distribution.
Drive value analysis activities and process flow evaluation to achieve efficiency and cost reduction.
Assure that Packaging meets Regulatory and Environmental Legislation and consumer safety.
Keep informed through colleagues, vendors, journals, professional affiliations, and seminars of new materials, processes, and procedures.
Visit, on behalf of the entire Packaging Department, suppliers and Estee Lauder company’s production facilities worldwide to advise, consult, and report on all packaging issues.
Report regularly on status of development issues to the immediate supervisor.
Actively participate on multifunctional teams, and recommend creative solutions while exhibiting an enthusiastic, flexible, and positive attitude.
Support the mission/objectives/strategies of the Packaging Department.
Champion the company’s vision.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cosmetics or related industry ;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in development/projects management ;
Must be an excellent team player with strong analytical and communication skills ;
Package Engineering Degree or relatedengineering degree required ;
French and English speaker.
